Bonnie George-Campbell and Cameron Campbell
HPs of the Circle of the Mountain Shadows
Bonnie George-Campbell
Bonnie's family immigrated to the United States from Ireland in 1897. In 1953 her grandfather settled the family on a 267-acre ranch, northeast of Colorado Springs, Colorado. This ranch became the family coven-stead and the major hub of Craft activity for the Colorado Springs and surrounding area for many years. As a young child, Bonnie knew she wanted to follow in her grandmother's footsteps as a High Priestess, carrying on her families generational tradition of witchcraft, embracing her unique birth rite as an inherit granddaughter. Bonnie studied with her family as well as under a variety of master teachers and elders giving her a spiritual maturity beyond her physical age. She worked extensively training in every aspect of craftwork and natural healing.
Bonnie formally dedicated her life to the God and Goddess in August of 1968. She completed her training elevations and accepted her circlet as High Priestess at Midsummer of 1973 just before entering Texas Women's University to pursue a degree in nursing and medical sciences. During her summers home from school she did research study and field work in metaphysics at the University of Colorado. Bonnie taught enlightenment studies and personal craft studies at Universal Lighthouse Temple in Colorado Springs and in Denver, Colorado. During her college years Bonnie practiced as a solitary witch, and continued her study of ancient religions, cultures and traditions. She began participating in group rituals and teaching privately when she moved to San Diego in 1977.
She met Cameron in 1995 and married him that year at Yule in the loft of the Mystic Moon in Spring Valley. Bonnie and Cameron taught classes with the Mystic Moon and continued The Oak Moon Teaching Circle after the store closed early in 1996 thru 1998. Bonnie joined The Circle of the Wildewood
as a First Degree Priestess in 1997. Bonnie completed her formal training in the Wildewood Tradition taking her third degree initiation and vows in January of 2002. As Bonnie enjoys the honor of a Generational High Priestess and Third Degree Elder in The Circle of the Wildewood, this has created the long desired goal of a tradition that links her family tradition of Witchcraft and the Old Religion of Ireland with the new practices of a strong San Diego based coven lineage. Bonnie is currently writing a series of books for witch and pagan children with an anticipation of publication next year. Bonnie brings to the community a rich and varied background of craftwork that spans over 40 years.
Cameron Campbell
Cameron began a metaphysical lifestyle at 12 years of age as a result of his mother working with natural healing techniques to facilitate him in overcoming the obstacles associated with Cerebral Palsy. Cameron was enrolled with master teachers in the metaphysical area for several years through his teens and early twenties. He became curious about Wicca at age 13 oddly enough through the public library with a set of Time Life Books on mystical subjects. With a never ending curiosity about the religions of the world Cameron majored in divinity in college. After a realization that Wicca was his destined path, he did a solitary dedication at age 21. He continued in the Craft taking classes and reading books.
Cameron is a gifted musician. He has a rare talent for writing as well as producing and recording. Cameron has written and recorded music for use in natural healing techniques and meditations. Cameron is currently producing a collection of musical chants and drumming patterns that combine modern technology with the haunting sounds of ancient instruments to create a uniquely beautiful style of musical magick to be used in circle work. He has taught music both privately and in classroom settings. He continues to instruct in the art and structure of drumming and chants. Cameron supports the Wiccan/Pagan community with his continued willingness to give of his talent when called upon.
Cameron has experience in teaching large groups of people in a seminar and workshop environment. He does coaching and support for individuals in all areas of personal and professional growth and effectiveness.
Bonnie introduced Cameron to Daryl and Kathryn Fuller in December of 1995. Cameron joined
The Circle of the Wildewood in
1997 and took his third degree initiation in November of 2001.
Bonnie and Cameron created the "Witches Hearth" Teaching Circle in January of 2002 to fulfill a growing need in the community for an opportunity for new seekers to learn the Craft. They are currently composing a new tradition in the craft that mixes Bonnie's family heritage with the traditions of the Wildewood lineage.
Together they have done extensive work with Calafia,
the local council of Covenant of the Goddess, supporting
and helping with public rituals as well as doing music and sound work.
Bonnie and Cameron hold clergy credentials with Covenant of the Goddess and perform various ceremonies
and services for the Wiccan/Pagan community.
